The soul of the child martyr rose, Rowan Tariq Elias, 5 years old. This increases the number of child victims since the October coup to 16 children. In this case, it should be easy to demand accountability from the guilty perpetrators.

KHARTOUM June 8: The Central Sudan Medical Committee has announced a very sad news. They write in their press release: The soul of the child martyr rose recently: Rowan Tariq Elias, 5 years. She was injured as a result of being run over by a tracker of the regular forces in the Kalakla area of Khartoum city

This happened yesterday and the doctors express their disgust at what happened: “The coup authority continues its barbaric, bloody behavior and deadly violence towards citizens without discriminating any age group from others”.

This increases the number of child death victims since the 25th October coup to 16 children – and the total number of martyrs of Sudanese people who were counted by the Committee since the 25 October coup to 101 martyrs. You can read the names of the previous martyrs HERE.

Several embassies yesterday extended their condolences to the people of Sudan. “The Embassies of Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden, the United Kingdom, the United States of America and the Delegation of the European Union to Sudan note with deep regret and concern the death of the 100th civilian killed in protests since the military coup of October 25, 2021.

The loss of life and many injured represent a heavy toll for the people of Sudan. We would like to extend our sympathies to the families and friends of the victims.

We remember all victims today, across Sudan, just as we recommit to support to the Sudanese people in their pursuit for freedom, peace, justice and the rule of law”.

Coup authorities usually say that they will appoint an investigation to find the culprits. In this case, it should be very simple. There are a lot of witnesses who can identify the perpetrators. There is probably evidence in picture as well. It should be entirely possible to have the perpetrators in court as early as next week.
