The Spider-Man Of Sudan

He watches over the demonstrations high up there. Willing to intervene with its superpowers when needed. The Sudanese Spider-Man. This inspiring person teaches us something very important. Fight the oppression in the way you can.

KHARTOUM May 17: In Sudan’s capital, Khartoum, an anonymous protester dressed as Spider-Man joins the hundreds of thousands of protesters desperate to protect their fragile civilian government after the military coup in October 2021. During the protests his close friend was killed by coup forces. It was as a homage to his friend that he picked up the suit.

‘Spidey’ has become well known on social media for leaping from billboards and scaling the tops of buildings while dodging teargas. However, it’s his work with some of the poorest children in Khartoum that has shown him to be a positive focus for the resistance, helping a new generation to know their worth and take pride in their country’s rich heritage.

Spider-Man is a superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Created by writer-editor Stan Lee and artist Steve Ditko. He has since been featured in movies, television shows, video games, and plays.
