The Central Committee of Sudanese Doctors (CCSD) confirmed the death of one protestor and at least 78 injured, during demonstrations on 6 April commemorating the 6 April 2019.
According to the CCSD, Al Tayeb Abdelwahab (19), died after a bullet damaged his femoral artery when he was shot in the thigh by coup forces, during protests in the East Nile region of Khartoum state. The death toll among civilians rises to (94) since the military coup on October 25th, 2021.
Once again, attacks on medical personnel and hospitals by the undisciplined coup forces are reported. One can not help but conclude that these thugs in uniform are ordered to attack hospitals. Al-Burhan always says he has no knowledge of these events. In that case, he has a serious problem with forces that act entirely on their own initiative without caring what he says. Either they obey his orders, or the forces are undisciplined and does not care about his orders. Both options are equally bad.
According to the Central Committee of Sudan Doctors: “doctors and health professionals at East Nile Hospital were also attacked, and against that background, the hospital’s emergency department was closed.”
Darfur’s main cities also witnessed demonstrations in the anniversary of March of the Millions. Cities like Saraf Omra, El Fasher, Nyala, Zalingei, Ed Daein, El Geneina and Sirba.
