Save The Children has issued a serious warning regarding the food situation in Sudan. Almost half of the population will be affected this year. More than 80 percent of Sudan’s wheat imports are at risk as a result of the conflict in Ukraine.
“It doesn’t look good at all,” the WFP’s deputy country director in Sudan, Marianne Ward, said in an interview. “People are just not going to be able to afford their basic food basket.”
