Crimes Against Humanity: Burhans coup forces have fired tear gas and live ammunition at a mass rally outside the presidential palace in Khartoum demanding civilian rule. The unarmed Demonstrators were shouting “power to the people” and demanding a return of the “military to the barracks”.
Sudanese military authorities had cut mobile internet services earlier on Sunday. We have also received information about 3 deaths. The brutal killings took place in Khartoum and Omdurman and the perpetrators acted on al-Burhan’s orders. According to the Central Committee of Sudanese Doctors, the first man, who was in his 20s, died in the capital Khartoum due to a “severe head wound”. Two men died of gunshot wounds in the chest in the city of Omdurman. More deaths might be expected during the day.
Coup forces in armoured vehicles mounted with heavy antiaircraft guns were seen posted at strategic road crossings. There are strict regulations regarding the use of such weapons in peacetime. It may be a good idea to take as good pictures as possible of the staff that handles these weapons. So that they can be identified for later international trials.
All bridges across the River Nile that directly connect Khartoum with its suburbs were also closed.
Burhan and his servant, “Hemetti” still denies the takeover was a coup, and a close advisor to the coup maker warned that “the demonstrations are only a waste of energy and time” which will not produce “any political solution”.
Moreover, I think al-Burhan has lost all dignity, honor and identity.
He is an enemy of God, the Sudanese, and humanity.
