Sudanese Rally: Tens of thousands of people rallied in towns across Sudan. To keep up the pressure on the military regime, and to protest against the agreement between Hamdok and the military. The coup forces fired tear gas at protesters.

Tens of thousands of people rallied in towns across Sudan, seeking to sustain pressure on military leaders who staged a coup in October but later reinstated Prime Minister Abdalla Hamdok following mass protests.

Thousands marched from the capital Khartoum’s twin city of Bahri over the Nile towards Omdurman, waving national flags and chanting slogans against the military. Coup forces had previously kept the bridge between Bahri and Omdurman closed during protests.

The coup forces have fired tear gas at protesters, who rallied near the presidential palace in the capital Khartoum to voice their anger against a military deal that re-instated Prime Minister Abdalla Hamdok.

The protests were the latest in a series planned by neighbourhood resistance committees against the military.
